How is this different from Splitwise?+–
Splitwise keeps a tally. Yappay moves the money. One person pays, everyone else's share leaves their wallet at the same time. No IOUs, no chasing in the morning.
Who pays at the table?+–
The nominee taps, or everyone pays the venue their share. Either way it comes from funded wallets, not a group chat after the fact.
What if someone is short?+–
Wallet first. If that's not enough, a group pool or a linked backup covers the gap. A tap never waits for friends to approve.
Can we split a receipt?+–
Scan it, claim the lines you ordered, and settle only those. Unclaimed items stay with the payer or split equally.
Do I need a card to start?+–
No. Fund a wallet to go live. A Yappay card sits on that wallet when you want to tap. Shares still debit in the background.
